About the Artist

If you could do one thing all of the time, what would it be? I guess what I'm asking is...what is your passion? Mine is to paint.  I love to see color.

I love the ocean.  I love the light and how it flickers on the water.  I love the colors that are reflected in the water.

People have said I can capture water and people when I do portraits from photos they give
me.  Now if I could just make a living at it!

I have been teaching for 15 years.  I now teach in Cohasset Middle/High School for 387 6th-8th graders.  In addition to teaching and being a mom, I find it challenging to find the time to paint let alone look into getting my work into galleries.  My friend who lives in Middleborough told me about the new gallery that was looking for exhibitors and I was thrilled to have my work accepted.

I realize I should be looking on Cape Cod or galleries who have visitors who like ocean or seascapes.  If this is you, please contact me at LSwartz@Cohassetk12.org and put "interested in artwork" in your heading so I don't delete your message!
